On the NOW of Work Podcast, Paradox Chief Marketing Officer Josh Zywien breaks down the positive business impact of software that works in the background.
Over the years, I’ve learned that recruiters love getting new recruiting technology that will make their lives easier, but they hate having to learn how to use it. They just want it to work.
That’s actually one of the central ideas behind Paradox — super simple, seamless software that just works for recruiters and hiring managers.
Recently I sat down with Leapgen CEO Jason Averbrook and Head of Brand Strategy Jess Von Bank to chat about the concept of “invisible software.” How it can be a competitive advantage for companies looking to hire — and retain — top recruiting talent.
Here is an excerpt from our conversation on the NOW of Work Podcast powered by Leapgen. I hope you enjoy it.
Olivia is helping [recruiters] with the stuff that they don’t want to waste time on which is: scheduling interviews, screening resumes for basic requirements… You take those things off the plate of a recruiter and all of the sudden they have a few extra hours in the week... If you are a recruiter, and you are told “do more with less.” That's hard to process when you’re already managing 50 reqs. You have no time, you are working 60 hours a week, and posting a req at 10 o’ clock at night… We view ourselves as playing an important role to relieve some of that pain and that work for recruiting staff and hiring managers…
There is a really important part to what you said, speaking as a former recruiter, “helping recruiters isn’t [just] giving them another tool.” … We give them all of these tools and literally the reaction is, “oh my –, I have to figure out something else?” … It should just work! … The outcome should be: speed to talent, beautiful candidate experience, assisted recruiter experience, and hiring manager results.
That's exactly it… In a perfect world, Olivia is working in the background invisibly.
